Yoga nowadays is very in demand especially the newest free online free yoga. Yoga practice and exercise can be learned in school.

There are a lot of yoga schools all over the world. Before, yoga was only applied and practice in India but now, looks like it has evolved. Almost all the people in the world know the word yoga although there are some who don’t have a clear picture of it. Yoga for the many people is an exercise and a means to concentrate with the mind and soul.

It is a great advantage that free online yoga was offered to the people. They say that the web is the easiest way to gain, search and acquire knowledge. Almost everything is learned from the web and it is no wonder why the people get hooked on it.

Free online yoga chooses no one in particular. Everyone is a candidate in learning yoga. All you need to do is to have your own computer and get hooked on to it.

If you want to learn from the basics, the net has the resources on how to learn it the easy way. As long as you know how to understand and read, you are capable of learning yoga.

It is an amazing breakthrough that yoga is taught in the web. Free online yoga saves you from going to a yoga class. It saves your time, money and effort. Plus, you can freely do it at home without any one looking at you if that is what you prefer.

If you want to have the free online yoga, there are some certain requirements that you need.

Now you will wonder if free online yoga is really advantageous. If it is, then why are all the people going to schools and bringing their mats on their backpack if they can acquire it at home.

Of course not everybody has their own personal computer. If you have a computer, it’s as easy as connecting to the web and browsing the net.

There are a lot of web sites that offered free online yoga. You can search from a variety of sites and be sure not to leave off any.

Some sites that offer free online yoga will only ask you to register. You will just have to fill up some important information like your state address, name, age and gender. These information is important in giving you the information you need. The age is something they need to consider because not all practices are suitable for all ages. For example for the older ones, they cannot perform a lot of stretching and bending. This is important why you should fill up correct information.

In choosing the best site to have your online free yoga, you should make sure that the things they teach you are all correct because some yoga practices can lead to disaster and disorders.

There are some sites that do not really teach the right and recommended yoga. They just want to be part of the trend that is why they imitate the original sites. Practicing the wrong yoga poses and positions entail a lot of risk in your health. So this thing must be handled properly.

Although free online yoga is displayed on the net, it does not mean that you have to trust it easily.

Before You Begin Learn The Types Of Yoga

The number of “types” of yoga is fairly large. A traditional physical and mental discipline originating in India, yoga has been practiced for centuries, and is a sequence of postures and positions, synchronized with your breathing, created to improve mind, body and soul. Ultimately, as you venture through the various stages, the result will be a more developed, focused mind, improved fitness and, if you are a spiritual person, a stronger connection with the universe! However, given the number of different styles of yoga, it’s very difficult for future practitioners to know exactly where to begin or which type is best for them.

Popular Types of Yoga

In spite of the fact that there are about 10 main types, they really only differ with respect to their individual focus of the styles versus the poses or postures:

Hatha (Ananda): Perhaps the most appropriate style for beginners, this style is characterized by a slower pace, personal affirmations, and self-control.
Power Yoga (Ashtanga): This is a more intense, faster pace of yoga, as the name “Power Yoga” suggests.
Anusara: This is a “heart-oriented” style that makes good use of the “tools of yoga”. These classes are somewhat intense but still accessible by all skill levels.
Iyengar: This is one of the types of yoga that require much more stamina. It is characterized by a great attention to detail and a focus on bodily alignment. Stamina is a must for this style, as poses are often held for an extended amount of time…not the smartest place for you to start your yoga practice.
Integral: Another great style for beginners to begin with. This style balances attention to meditation, poses and breathing. Integral is a more general style like Hatha that will allow you to “taste test” the areas of concentration of the other styles.
Bikram (Hot Yoga): This is the hottest of the types of yoga! It’s called Hot Yoga because it’s practiced in a room temperature of around 100 degree! This allows cleansing sweat to flow and muscles to relax. Beginners should not start with this one.
Kundalini: Uses breath control and breathe/movement coordination to expell bad energy. Beginners welcome.
Kripalu: A perfect style of yoga for beginners. This style focuses on breathing and moving at your own individual pace.
Sivananda: One of the largest schools of yoga, this style take a more holistic approach, including diet, relaxation and thinking. For those of you seeking guidance in areas beyond just fitness, this is one of the most appropriate types of yoga.
Svaroopa: No fat burning here. This style is more about elevating your consciousness. This is appropriate for beginners, but not if your focus is better fitness.

This is not purported to be a definitive list, but it should be a good place for you to start as you pursue the highly beneficial practice of yoga!

Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years, because historically people have known the benefits of yoga. It is important, however, to remember that there are more than 10 different styles of yoga that are most most popular, and each style has its own identity with respect to the benefits you might expect to see from their practice. I have created numerous articles describing yoga for beginners which you can search for to explain these differences, but this article is written to expound on what yoga can do for you. No matter if your focus is physical, mental or both, practicing yoga can benefit you enomrously in many ways. Let’s start with the mental side first:

Mental Benefits of Yoga

Concentration Improvements: This one’s difficult to prove factually, but concentration improvements have been constantly enjoyed by most practitioners. I have personally experienced these improvements!
Increase in Feeling of Well-being: This is the result of the improved mind-body connection and calmness, due to improved concentration, the reduction of hormones associated with stress and an inward focus.
Depression Reduction: This is the result of a number of biochemical reactions, including oxygen level increases in the brain, as well as the release of the associated “negative” energy.
Hostility Decreases: This is the result of the increased level of relaxation and control you learn through practicing yoga.

Physical Benefits of Yoga

Increased Range of Motion: The sequence of yoga poses gently stretches your muscles, ligaments, and tendons over time.
Detoxification: This stretching also massages your organs, and ensures blood flow is optimized. This helps to release toxins.
Muscle tone: Often positions are held for a while causing the aforementioned stretching, but at the same time muscles are worked and strengthened as well.
Lower Blood Pressure: This stretching and massaging provided by yoga also serves to lower your blood pressure, by increasing blood oxygenation and improving circulation.
Cardiovascular Efficiency Increases: The combination of reduced blood pressure and increased oxygen levels raises your level of endurance.

Real Life Benefits of Yoga

Lower Risk of Injury: Due to your new found improved range of motion, strength and improved blood flow, your body will be better protected from future injuries and able to heal quicker.
Improved Coordination: Due to your improved mind-body connection and range of motion you will become more graceful.
Reaction time: This is a result of better circulation and the better mind-body connection.
Endurance: Improved blood flow and oxygenation lead to better cardiovascular health and improved endurance. This is one of the many reasons endurance athletes like runners include yoga as a part of their training.

By the way, these are only a small subset of the benefits of yoga! As you’ve probably figure out by now, I am a true fan of yoga, and there a ton of reasons to get started with yoga today…

The Purpose of Tantric Yoga

October 13, 2009 by

Tantric Yoga highlights the exaltation of the physical being more than anything else.

Tantra is known to be the concept that arises out of this kind of commitment to oneself, which is the basis of Tantra. And the supporters of this side of belief are called tantrics. These people not only worship the physical state but also got to any degree to please the body to achieve occult powers.

As of this time, it is not widely practiced and used in India. And it survived only in some parts of India in the middle of the jungles and hills of the Himalayas.

However, there are many clashes about its origin and source. Some have researched and discovered that the Pre-Aryans are the originators and others transcribe it to the norms of the early people. It is known to have risen at the same time Buddhism was flourishing. And because of this, some Buddhists had incorporated and adopted some of the Tantric signs and symbols.

And later on, it has grown to form a faction or guild. Like the Vedas, Tantras are composed of collections of poems and verses that speak of the elaborate methods on the righteous and proper of worship and adoration.

Often, some people perceive them as obscure and mystical in sense that is usually addressed to the persons who perform or do tantric acts. These persons are usually, sadhakas. These Sadhakas live a very simple life. And the practice of Yoga is like a prayer for them. He usually meditates in the lone and secluded places in the countryside far, far away from the madding society. His robes and his begging bowl distinguish him. He also sells medicine, shells, charms and herbal pieces.

This may be his good side but the other half lingers in vicious outrages and he inflicts austerities upon himself. The various positions of love-making and sex itself outline a significant principle of tantrism.

According to some, there is a way of acquiring sidhi. This is through practicing Kundalini or serpent’s power. It says that in order to awaken the serpent, one must practice and perform a certain type of Yoga or mediation. Through this, the serpent is said to arise gradually. With constant practice, the serpent uncoils and awakens which in return, explodes a vast from of energy. As the process continues, the skin is becoming hot and sweating occurs until a stinging sensation is achieved or experienced. Once this is attained, it is said to be so prevailing that it may destroy the person if not controlled.

Soon, it rises and when it has come to its limit or peak, one feels absolute pleasure. And once this is attained, he therefore becomes a sage or Sadhu. Tantrism also involves the dissipated way of acquiring supernatural powers.

It is said that in order to gain deliverance, one must do everything that he wants to do even though it is immoral or prohibited.

It is also said that some tantric yoga exercises aids and improves the general and sexual health. With healthy reproductive organs, one can have improved well being and it is favorable for sexual activities. It is like the respiratory system, which needs air to function.

There are various exercises, both physical and spiritual which helps in integrating the body, mind and spirit into one. These different exercises are good to start each day with and favorable before going to bed.

Through this, the physiological functions of the body are stimulated and therefore revitalizes the whole well being of a person.

Yoga is more a practice than a workout or sport. It is the practice of bring mind and body together, working with energies through movement and poses and using your mind to transform your body. Yoga involves meditation and discipline. As with anything, advancing to the next stage takes patience and perseverance. Advanced Yoga classes can be demanding you must be ready before you take that next step.

When you begin Yoga you start with the basics in learning breathing techniques and poses. Mastering breathing is a great achievement as well as mastering the poses. Strength and stamina grow as you are able to hold poses longer and learn more complicated poses. As you learn to breathe, you can hold the poses longer, causing muscles to react, blood to flow and energy to expand. Advanced Yoga classes are for those who have mastered intermediate poses, have achieved mind and body balance and whose breathing techniques allow for full control with a keener awareness of their breathing and movements. By this time strength and resilience is increased and poses can be sustained for longer periods of time. Flexibility is increased as well.

Be careful not to advance too quickly, for you may miss out on all that the level that you are at has to offer. The idea is to fully master each level and to live in that moment where you can embrace the entire class to the fullest. Where everything you are doing is coming with ease while still challenging you, where you fully understand and can fully do each and every thing with in that level. Some people jump into advanced Yoga classes, only to find themselves not ready. The poses maybe too hard or way past what they can safely do. This can cause a drain of energy and put the body/mind connection into an out of balance state. It can actually be a set back to move ahead too quickly. Yoga is about living in the moment, slowing things down and feeling each breath. Don’t be in a hurry to move.
